The Real Deal has published a list of the 20 top NYC new construction and renovation contractors based on NYC Department of Buildings (NYCDOB) square footage data from 2012 to 2017.
The largest contractor, AECOM Tishman, built 13.8 million sq. ft., according to the NYCDOB data.
“That’s not only more than six Empire State Buildings’ worth of space, it is also 77 percent above the total for runner-up Turner Construction,” The Real Deal reported.
Structure Tone came in first at $2.6 billion in the alteration and renovation category, based on building permit dollar volume. AECOM Tischman ranked fifth (with $799 million).
