New York City’s Department of Buildings (DOB) will host its third annual Digital Build: Safety, Innovation and Sustainability Conference during National Construction Safety Week.
The from May 2 through May 6 conference coincides with the safety week and OSHA’s National Safety Stand-Down to Prevent Falls in Construction.
“This virtual conference is free and open to the public, with many courses submitted for AIA continuing education credits,” the DOB reported in its weekly Building News Update eletter on Aug. 26. “DOB’s safety experts will also offer safety sessions throughout the month.
Topics covered in the conference include construction safety; protecting the public during ongoing construction operations; and NYC’s regulatory landscape with several sessions devoted to upcoming Code changes, which go into effect later this year.
