Jacobs has been selected by the New York State Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation (NYSOPRH) to provide professional construction management services across Upstate New York, supporting the maintenance and revitalization of the state’s public recreational assets.
The contract covers the western, mid-state, and Hudson districts and includes a broad range of infrastructure upgrades, from historic preservation to utility improvements. Jacobs’ work will encompass project oversight for:
- Historic preservation initiatives
- Playground and landscape architecture
- Utility and infrastructure improvements
- Surveying, geotechnical support, and materials testing
Upstate New York’s more than 250 parks, historic sites, trails, golf courses, and boat launches welcome more than 88 million visitors annually, serving as vital hubs for recreation, education, and community engagement. Jacobs brings a track record of project delivery across multiple market sectors in New York State, including water, transportation, and buildings, emphasizing sustainable, safe, and community-focused construction management.
