Job seekers of all experience levels, interested in a career in construction have been invited to attend the Westchester County Construction Career Fair on Wednesday, Aug. 25 from 11 am to 2 pm. It will be held at the NY Power Authority building at 123 Main St. in White Plains.
LRC Construction and a variety of sub-contractors are looking to fill positions for two major projects: The Mitchell—a mixed use luxury development on the corner of Mamaroneck Avenue and East Post Road in the heart of White Plains—and Gateway II with 500 mixed-use housing units slated to begin construction in January 2022.
Job positions include: Laborers, carpenters, plumbers, drivers, electricians, sheet rockers, building maintenance, security, masonry, and more. All levels of experience are needed from entry-level to skilled.
Bridget Gibbons, Westchester County Director of Economic Development said: “We’re doing this in part to help rebuild and restore Westchester’s economy. The job fair provides opportunities to help residents of Westchester County and beyond to learn about careers in construction and the construction industry, including large projects that will leave an indelible mark to the landscape for generations to come.”
Thom Kleiner, executive director, Westchester-Putnam Workforce Development Board added: “We encourage job seekers of all ages and skill levels to attend the job fair as it’s a great opportunity to embark on a career path that will lead to new skills and increased earnings. Our local economy is mutually dependent on employers willing to invest in our region and a skilled workforce ready to learn and grow.”

The most convenient location to park is at the Hamilton-Main Garage at 365 Hamilton Ave. or the Galleria Mall. Visitors can enter the NY Power Authority building from Hamilton Avenue.
