Cord Meyer Development Company has broken ground at 90-32 Queens Blvd., marking the start of a new seven-story project that will bring residential and commercial space to a prominent corner in Elmhurst.
The development will feature 93 residential apartments alongside ground-floor retail, with design elements focused on community engagement and neighborhood enhancement.
The project is a collaboration with GKV Architects, DPC, and Racanelli Construction. Developers say the building will combine high-quality housing with vibrant commercial spaces to support Elmhurst’s growing community.
Representatives from Cord Meyer thanked local stakeholders and community members for attending the groundbreaking ceremony, noting the strong support and excitement for the project.
Construction has begun, and the development is part of ongoing efforts to add mixed-use projects to Queens neighborhoods.
