The Buffalo Bills have unveiled new video footage and photos showcasing the ongoing construction of their $2.1 billion Highmark Stadium, set to open in fall 2026. The video offers a closer look at crews working on the stands and the roof of the stadium, located across the street from the team’s current home.

The project team includes Legends Project Development and Populus Architects.

In late 2022 the joint venture of Gilbane Building Company and Turner Construction Company in association with 34 Group, was selected by the Buffalo Bills to provide construction management.

“We are tremendously excited to build the new home for the Buffalo Bills,” John LaRow, Senior Vice President, Gilbane Building Company said at the time. “This new NFL stadium will be a proud representation of the energy, passion, and dedication of the Bills organization, the team, its fans, and the City of Buffalo.

“Our joint-venture team is committed to driving opportunities for diverse and local businesses and working with our partners to deliver this transformational project for Western New York.”

The new stadium is being built with an eye on Buffalo’s harsh winter conditions. It will feature “the world’s largest snow melt system” designed to ensure the roof can withstand heavy snowfall and extreme temperatures.

Earlier this year, the Bills released renderings showing what the completed stadium will look like. When finished, the venue will include two state-of-the-art videoboards and a new acoustic system that allows sound to be directed to specific areas of the stadium, improving the fan experience.

In a move aimed at enhancing fan engagement, the new design will also bring the seats much closer to the field compared to the current stadium and many others across the NFL.
