Construction on a new wing to P.S. 46, also known as the Alley Pond School, in Oakland Gardens is set to start this week, according to officials.
The new wing will add 440 seats, a number of specialty classrooms and suites for students and teachers. The school is located at 64-45 218 St., reports QNS.
The development will include an elevator to make the facility accessible. The project is expected to be completed for the 2023-school year.
