Mark Grinis new EY global real estate, hospitality and construction leader

EY says 30-year real estate industry veteran Mark Grinis has been named the the practice’s global real estate, hospitality and construction leader.

Grinis previously led real estate for Ernst & Young LLP in the US Central region and ran the organization’s global real estate private equity practice. In his new role, he will coordinate a network of 15,000 real estate professionals from EY member firms around the world, serving more than 6,000 clients. Grinis replaces Howard Roth, who is retiring on 30 June.

His knowledge, experience and credibility is based on major international transactions and capital flows, and he has the creativity to work with companies on their digital, cyber and technology priorities, making him an ideal fit to lead” the organization

Grinis has served as lead advisor on more than $50 billion of transactions and lead audit partner for real estate funds with an aggregate value of$250 billion. Throughout this career, he has held global, Americas and Asia leadership positions from the US and Japan.

Grinis is a licensed Certified Public Accountant in New York and a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. He received his Bachelor of Arts in Economics and Accounting from Claremont McKenna College.
