Jack Resnick & Sons says that it has appointed Keith Macchiaverna as its managing director of design and construction.

In his new role, Macchiaverna will oversee and manage all major construction and infrastructure projects for Resnick, which currently owns and operates a Manhattan commercial portfolio of approximately six million sq. ft. of commercial and retail space, as well as 900 luxury rental apartments.

The company says it has “entered the final stages of its ambitious $65 million building-wide capital improvement program at 315 Hudson Street, a class A, 500,000 sq. ft. property where Google recently completed an agreement to occupy five full floors as part of its expanded Hudson Square campus.”

In addition, Resnick will be building office space for new commercial tenants as it completes its renting program at 199 Water St., and will implement several important building-wide infrastructure upgrades across the portfolio.

“We are pleased to welcome Keith at a particularly busy time when we are continuously reinvesting in our commercial and residential portfolio,” company president Jonathan Resnick said in a statement. “It will be valuable to have him on board as we pursue several new projects and infrastructure initiatives in the coming months.”
