Demolition started on Sept. 30 on Terminal A at Newark Liberty International Airport, the first stage of the $2.7 billion construction project to upgrade and replace the terminal with a new Terminal 1.
There also will be road and airside improvements and a new parking garage, WCBS-TV reports.
The Tutor Perini/Parsons joint venture is coordinating design and construction.
Subcontractors and suppliers interested in bidding on the project can submit an Expression of Interest at this website.
Work is expected to be completed next year.
