Construction has started on a $12.4 million project at 1275 Delaware Ave. in Buffalo.
TM Montante Development is building the project which will feature 33 apartments, 9,000 sq. ft. of commercial space and a 1,000 sq.-ft. cafe/restaurant, WIVB reports.
The 50,000 sq. ft., six-story building was constructed in 1958.
“The restoration of this historic mid-century modern office building with its distinctive ribbon windows and original 1950s diner will be a dynamic and exciting addition to the beautiful architecture along Delaware Avenue,” TM Montante President Christian Campos stated.
Designed by Carmina Wood Morris, the is expected to be finished next spring.
