Construction on Pier 55, also known as Diller Island, has officially resumed after years of delay, according to a report in Chelsea Patch.
Pier55 will revitalize a part of Hudson River Park with almost three acres of new public park space featuring lush greenery and an array of world-class arts, educational and community programming.
The park will have walking paths, rolling hills, seating areas and open lawns for visitors of all ages. It will feature a green belt of more than 100 species of trees.
The project is expected to be completed in late 2019.
