Construction has resumed on One World Café on the North Campus at the University at Buffalo, reports UBNow.

The third phase of UB’s Heart of the Campus initiative, One World Café is being built around and under the existing overhangs of Capen and Norton halls.

The One World Café is envisioned to create a new and exciting dining environment consistent with the university’s aspirations. The new café would be approximately double the size of the restaurant, dining room and kitchen area of Bert’s, the existing Campus Dining & Shops restaurant in Talbert Hall. The area would be glassed-in and accessible from the first floor of Norton; it would replace Bert’s and the New York Deli, also located in Talbert.

Graham Hammill, vice provost of graduate education and dean of the graduate school, is leading the planning team.

The dining facility will serve students, faculty, and staff and is expected to open during 2022.
