Construction starts on new charter school in The Bronx

Civic Builders has started construction on a new charter school in Mott Haven, The Bronx.

Comp Sci High Charter School was designed by KSS Architects and construction will be completed in time for the 2024-2025 school year. Kel-Mar Designs is general contractor for the project being built on the site of a former auto body shop and two abandoned residential properties.

The six-story building will have 45,979 square feet of interior space with 20 full-size classrooms, four half-size classrooms, science lab, art room, and computer lab.

The $47.5 million project also includes a multipurpose room, gymnasium/cafeteria, and double-height coworking space.
