The Islip Town Board has approved a zoning change to allow the construction of the Gracewood Estates.
The developer, Mark Sagliocca, wanted a change in order to construct 96 apartments and a mini storage warehouse facility, according to Patch.com.
The property is located on the east side of Freeman Avenue just south of Spur Drive South.
Construction is expected to start sometimes this year.
