Several major construction and development projects are taking shape in downtown Buffalo, according to a report by Spectrum News.

Those projects include Douglas Development’s transformation of the once-vacant Seneca One into apartments and a tech hub for M&T. The group is also working on revamping the former Buffalo Police Headquarters, restoration of the Statler building started by the late developer Mark Croce. Their newest proposal is a residential building on a parking lot surrounded by the Skyway and 190 ramps.

Ciminelli Real Estate’s massive project at 201 Ellicott St. will include a Braymiller Market that is slated to open next spring. The project includes 200 affordable apartments that should be ready next summer, according to the report.

Meanwhile, construction is underway on the new Buffalo train station near Canalside that is expected to open later this fall.
