Denise Richardson will be leaving her post as executive director of the General Contractors Association of New York (GCANY), which represents many of the large construction firms working for major public agencies, including the Metropolitan Transportation Authority.
She will leave within the next two months (after more than a decade at the association), and the association hasn’t named her successor, Crain’s New York Business reports.
“After more than a dozen years representing an organization whose members have literally built New York it is time to for me to open a new chapter,” Richardson said in a statement to Crain’s. “While my tenure at the GCA will conclude in the next two months, my role in championing our city, and our collective future, will continue because I passionately care about one of the most dynamic cities in the world.”
