Sales have launched in New York City for what the developers say is the world’s tallest residential building.
Extell Development Company says the 1,550 feet Central Park Tower includes the most expensive residence sold in NYC, at $100.5 million.
Adrian Smith + Gordon Gill Architecture (AS+GG) designed the 100-story structure. The residences will start at the 32cd floor.
Nordstrom will have a seven-story, 320,000-sq. ft. store at the building’s base, the developers say.
There will be a private club within the building, located on the 14th, 16th and 100th floors, the developers say.
Extell is co-developing the structure with SMI USA (SMI), the US subsidiary of Shanghai Municipal Investment, an investment company responsible for the Shanghai Tower, the second tallest building in the world.
The developer says the first closings are scheduled for late 2019.
