Former President Donald Trump visited a construction site in New York City to talk to union workers Thursday morning, before heading back to criminal court in Lower Manhattan for another day of testimony from former National Enquirer publisher David Pecker.
“I got to meet POTUS today,” Daniel Mandia wrote on X. “What a day! He even signed my company Mandia and Sons t-shirt.
“45 loves small business owners and we love President Trump!”
Trump met with a large group of workers at the corner of East 48th Street and Park Avenue in Midtown, Manhattan. He arrived at 6:30 a.m. and stayed for about 20 minutes – shaking hands, posing for photos and signing autographs for people who had to go through a security screening to enter the area.
The former president and presumptive Republican Party nominee answered a few questions from reporters.
“These construction workers . . . I have great support,” Trump said. “We’ve built a lot of great buildings in this city with these people and others.”
