Holliswood Development plans to build a seven-story residential building in New York City.
The developer is preparing to convert a Chelsea brownstone that housed one of the city’s oldest nursery schools into a seven-story residential building, Patch reported, citing the city’s records.
The building, at 214 W. 15th St., was part of the Nazareth Nursery Montessori School, a 114-year-old charitable institution.
Holliswood bought the building in July for $12.6 million. The company aims to raze the current four-story brownstone and erect a 75-foot tall building with six new residential units, according to the published report, which quoted city records.
Construction is expected to begin in April.
