After more than a decade of planning and construction, Jean Nouvel’s supertall tower next to the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) in Midtown Manhattan is rising to new heights as it nears completion.
The MoMA tower 53W53 (53 West 53rd Street) has already reached its intended peak at the 82nd floor. Once finished, the building will New York City’s fourth tallest residential tower.
The 1,050-ft. building will house condominiums, a gallery space, a wine cellar, a private screening room, and a restaurant.
Developed by Hines, Goldman Sachs, and the Pontiac Land Group, the MoMA tower is set to be completed by the end of 2018.
