It was thought that construction for the Belmont Arena in Belmont Park would start late in the spring of 2019, but it could be much sooner, according to New York Islanders‘ General Manager Lou Lamoriello.
It looks like groundbreaking for the Islanders’ new digs will take place early in the new year and construction is expected to take about two-and-a-half years to complete with sights being set on the 2021-2022 season, says Eyes on Isles.
