PREMIER Design + Build Group, LLC is further strengthening project management resources in its New Jersey office by bringing on board Robert Hancock as its newest project manager. With nearly 14 years in the commercial construction industry. the company says Hancock brings with him a proven ability to deliver successful projects while maintaining a strong focus on client relationships.
“Supporting my team and building client confidence have always been a top priority for me,” says Hancock. “I look forward to forging new relationships here in New Jersey.”
An Australia native, Hancock gained the bulk of his building knowledge from estimating and delivering projects in the industrial, commercial, residential, health and aged care sectors down under. His most recent project in Chullora, Sydney included demolition of a 538,000 sq. ft. printing facility and 30 acres of land remediation. The $27 million bottled milk distribution center built on a cleared site required the additional design consideration of including a 92,000 sq. ft. refrigerated cooler.
Prior to the Chullora project, Mr. Hancock led the design and construction of two “firsts” for Australia: the first unmanned BP fuel depot and the first Holiday Inn Express.
“Rob has managed a variety of complicated, large-scale projects in the past, and his experience will be an invaluable asset to our growing New Jersey team,” says PREMIER’s northeast market leader, Keith Meehan.
At PREMIER, Hancock will be responsible for project management by way of problem solving, developing critical path schedules and subcontract awards; and administration, including contract negotiation, financial management, bidding/budgeting and scheduling. Additionally, he will work with field superintendents to plan, organize and direct activities for each design and build project to which he is appointed. He is instrumental in monitoring and controlling projects through decisive direction to ensure projects are on schedule and within the budget.
