Thomas Calcaterra has joined PREMIER Design + Build Group LCC as a senior project manager at the company’s New Jersey’s office.
“He believes that a 24/7 commitment to clients is key to helping their visions come true,” a PREMIER spokesperson said. “As a project lead, he ensures that our east coast teams meet scheduled objectives.”
“It was an instant match with PREMIER,” says Calcaterra. “From day one, I felt that I could do my best work with them and promote progress at every milestone.”
Calcaterra will lead all aspects of the construction process, including bidding, budgeting and scheduling. He will lead negotiation and issuance of contracts and change orders, as well as maintaining RFI and submittal tracking, client and internal meeting documentation, billing, financial management and project closeout. Finally, Calcaterra will focus on design coordination, permitting and owner interaction.
Previously, he served as a project manager at a major New Jersey construction company. He interfaced with construction experts and clients and was responsible for the overall safety, direction, completion and financial outcome of projects.
His experience also includes serving as a project manager and superintendent in charge of scheduling projects, supervising teams, and coordinating efforts between subcontractors, architects, engineers and more. He completed projects for Fortune 500 companies and facilitated project phasing, logistics and cost management. Throughout his career, he has prided himself in ensuring that his teams exceeded client expectations.
“Tom is a born leader and a natural collaborator,” says Keith Meehan, vice-president, northeast market leader of PREMIER. “He is a tireless worker and when he has a client goal in sight, he is sure to reach it.”
Calcaterra attributes his leadership skills and drive to the six years he spent in the armed forces where he received recognition for outstanding service. He looks forward to helping PREMIER clients drive the U.S. economy. Outside of work, he enjoys giving back to the community.
