Work begins on new church building in Buffalo

Work is underway on the First Calvary Missionary Baptist Church in Buffalo, WIVB reports.

The project calls for converting the existing 10,000 sq. ft. church at the southeast corner of William St. and Jefferson Ave. into a family life center and the construction of a new 16,658 sq. ft. sanctuary.

The family life center will be used for events, youth church services, and recreational sports. The two-story building will seat approximately 700 congregation members.

The $2.8 million project is designed by HCO Architecture in a partnership with studio T3.

No information was available on when the project will complete.
