The New York Department of Buildings is investigating a Nov. 21 accident where a construction worker died when he was crushed by materials at a Brooklyn worksite.
The 44-year-old worker was killed when a forklift on the roof of a three-story building at the Myrtle Avenue site in Bedford-Stuyvestant tipped over, sending debris on to the worker below.
Photographs from the scene show one of the man’s co-workers appearing devastated and covered in blood as other workers console him, The New York Post reported.
The victim was rushed to NYC Health + Hospitals/Woodhull, but he could not be saved.
