A construction worker plunged through the ceiling of a Brooklyn public school on July 5 when a section of the roof collapsed during routine maintenance.

While he was taken to the hospital, a representative of the Department of Education told WNBC-TV that his injuries were minor.

“No students or staff were inside” at IS 227, a junior high school on 16th Ave. It isn’t clear why the accident happened.
